An opportunity to remember those we love and miss - by sending them a message
As the year comes to a close, many people find themselves reflecting on those they love and miss. Moments of remembrance can feel especially meaningful during the winter months, which is why we are opening our doors to the community for a special Letters To Heaven event on Monday 22nd December 2025.
This comforting and reflective event is open to everyone locally.
All are welcome to come along, pause, remember, and send a message of love.
A Meaningful Way to Connect With Loved Ones
At the heart of the event is the beautifully crafted Letters to Heaven Postbox, a thoughtful space where you can post a personal letter, note, or message to someone you hold in your heart. Whether you bring a letter from home or write one on the day using the blank cards provided, the act of writing often brings gentle comfort.
Please know that every letter posted is never opened or read. Instead, each one is treated with dignity and respect. The letters are gently transformed into compost and returned to the earth in memorial gardens, symbolising a natural cycle of love, remembrance, and renewal.
A Warm Community Welcome
The Winter Open Day runs at two times:
Morning: 9:30am – 12:00pm

A Gentle Invitation
This is a space for anyone who feels the need for remembrance — whether your grief is recent or many years old, whether you’re remembering family, a partner, a friend, or someone who shaped your life. Sometimes the opportunity to write a message, place it in the postbox, and feel held by a compassionate community can bring unexpected comfort.
If you have any questions ahead of the day, you’re warmly invited to contact the team on 020 8654 4466.
